The before was quite modest and ruffly. I think this was actually a Mennonite or Amish dress. I kept some ruffles, chopped off the rest, gave it some shape and a zipper. This dress was made for twirling. I found this number at a vintage store in Sydney, Australia. It has a flattering fit with A-line skirt, gorgeous emerald green color with hot pink, white and yellow striping detail and tie. Another piece now available in my Etsy shop.

I found this little beauty at the Hillsville flea market. I just love this dusty pink and black retro number with purple flowers. It has a button closure at the back of the neck, and elastic waistband with a sash that ties around overtop. Stunning… and for sale in my Etsy...

First I cut out an owl shape from a vintage men’s wool coat. Next I cut felt for the face and tummy. Now add the wings and eyelids. Lashes and eyes.  Don’t forget the buttons and a beak.
