Handmade Cloth Napkins

A simple thing you can do to cut down on waste and add a little charm to your life is to make your own cloth napkins. I picked out a few different country themed fabrics and cut them 10.5 inches squared. (You could cut them larger, but I wouldn’t go smaller than that.) Then, you simply press and hem and you’ve got yourself a fancy, washable napkin. Just don’t freak out when they get dirty – that’s what they are for after all.

BTW I like those napkins a lot; I have been toying with the idea of sewing cloth napkins for some time. As soon as I have time I’ll have to sew some. Sigh…
