Lamb Love and Cross-Stitch
Jul 21
So, if you know me, you know I love sheep! In particular, cute little lambykins. The two “real” lamb pics below are from a farmstay we visited in Australia, which is where it all started – my love of sheep and also what really gave Everett and I the idea to someday have a farm stay of our own. So in May when we were at the Hillsville flea market, I couldn’t resist this super cute and kitschy little ceramic lamb which now lives in my office.
After finally finishing decorating the rest of the house I turned my attention toward my craft room which still had bare walls. I found a little shelf and gold painted plate at a consignment shop in town. I added the rung under the shelf so I would have somewhere to hang a cute cross-stitched dish towel that my paternal Grandma had made and that my Mom was nice enough to give me along with a bunch of other really cool things being passed down in our family, like oil lamps. My room now kind of looks like someone barfed up cross-stitch all over the place, but I like it.
I also made a little holder to hang another cross-stitch piece up with a stick and ribbon. On the back wall I hung up a basket with some yarn and needles, a handmade (not by me) roller derby trophy/plaque, an old window from our house, a clock I ordered from uncommon on Etsy, and an old washboard from the aforementioned consignment shop.

I have a coworker who keeps a very cute, old-ladyish cross-stitch sign on her wall. It looks so traditional and meek except for the fact that it says:
Fuckity
Fuck
Fuck
I think those would sell well on Etsy. I should get her to take a picture of it.
